Sierui - Triteleia Hyacinthina.
Happy Birthday Sei~
It’s at @seirui birthday and I hope they’ve had a good one. I wrote them a little something about their OCs Kay and Leo, who are just too cute most of the time, I hope they’re not too ooc or I made anything too weird. Had to make a few assumptions about stuff. Anyway, hope you like it and that you’ve had a great day and continue to have a fabulous birthday <3
It was a red spot, really more of a smudge actually, and it had been there for almost a week. It was starting to piss Leo off. Why hadn’t Kay cleaned it yet? He was normally very meticulous about the care of his masks. How did it get back there anyway? He almost couldn’t see the spot-smudge because of where it was between the white and orange parts of the marmalade tabby cat pattern head. Maybe Kay hadn’t seen it yet…
Leo spent more time than he probably should pondering on the smudge, he decided it was definitely a smudge, and the only thing that came to mind was a strawberry ice cream pop he had a few days ago…
Still didn’t explain how the smudge gotten on the back of Kay’s head or why he hadn’t cleaned it yet.
The older of the two stood behind the sofa chair that Kay was curled up in, half way draped across one of the arms with a book Leo had recommended last week. A small smug part of the bibliophile swelled because he knew Kay would love the book, and he was right. He always was when it came to books.
Peeking over Kay’s head, Leo checked what page he was on. 322… Good, nothing too important on that page or the next, so there would be minimum to no heart break when Leo interrupted. Nothing worse than getting yanked away when you’re at the best part of the book.
Leo took a deep breath as he braced himself to get the task done quickly. With hands on either side of Kay’s head, he snatched the round cat head off of Kay. There was a gasp and the papery flump of the book hitting the floor as Kay tried to hide and turn around to grab his mask at the same time.
“Leo!” The whine was almost instant. Kay stood to move around the chair, but was pushed back down as something was slammed over his head.
“Oops…” Leo muttered through his teeth. He’d brought the new mask down on Kay’s head a little too hard. It was crooked, the face tilted off to the left a bit. The blonde chuckled to himself while he adjusted the new feline face over Kay’s head better. “Sorry ‘bout that.” He stepped back to examine his work with a nod.
Kay patted his head gently. It was smaller than the ones he normally wore and very soft, almost felt like velvet. He stood again, this time without interruption and made his way to the mirror in the hallway. A mostly black cat face looked back at him. The ears were tipped with a soft snow white accompanied by a similar puff of white across the muzzle.
“I got tired of looking at your tabby head.” Leo called, trying to sound off-hand and nonchalant about it.
Kay made his way back to the living room where Leo was sitting in his seat. The book had been picked up and was placed on the table beside the tabby mask. Leo was frowning at the back of the mask, and Kay saw for the first time a red blemish. He could tell by the crease in Leo’s brow that he was trying to remember what he told him about cleaning certain fabrics. He made a quick mental note to himself to take care of that before Leo got frustrated with it enough to pour a bottle of stain remover over spot and ruin it.
“I see…” Kay smiled.
Leo nodded as he stood up. “Well?”
“Thank you. I like this one. It’s adorable.” Kay stooped down a bit and hugged Leo.
Growling under his breath because of the obvious height difference, Leo tried to push away. “Too bad it’s not helping you in that department.” He squeaked when he felt his feet leave the ground as Kay picked him in a tight hug. “Dude! Put me down!” Leo stopped his urge to kick Kay, giving him the chance to remedy his idiocy.
“Thank you~ I’ll wear on really special occasions.”
“I’m going to burn it if you don’t put me down soon!”
Laughing, Kay finally released Leo, not without getting an elbow to the ribs first, and gently set him down. “This is the first time you’ve bought me a mask.”
“No it…” He paused. “Is it?” Kay normally made his own or received them from stage hands on the sets his parents worked on. Leo shrugged and turned away. “Well, whatever…“ A pair of arms wrapped around him snugly, black cat mask held in their hands. Leo sighed and leaned back against the taller man’s chest. The warmth of Kay’s cheek rubbed against Leo’s.
“Thank you.” He said again, softer this time and followed by the light press of lips to his cheek.
Leo didn’t say you’re welcome or shrug him off. He just turned his head and nuzzled his nose and cheek lightly against Kay as well.
