180 dollars of taco Bell would be enough food for like a month too.
the funniest bit is that he didn’t even get that much food. Like $180 worth of tacos is a fuck ton of tacos. No, he got like 18 quesaritos, 1/3 of which were steak so they were like $8 a piece.
He did get me the chalupa I asked for so there is that. Also, I haven’t had a taco bell taco (like normal taco) in a VERY long time, and I know why now- they really are not good.
Here's a 💜, if you get it!
Got it!

<...> Cassie runs to the bench, breathing heavily, and Sam pulls out a bottle of water from Cassie’s little backpack. Out of the corner of her eye she watches Jack, wondering what conclusion he'll draw.
When Cassie gives the bottle back, she notices the dog, who looks around a little more confidently now. Sam can tell the little girl’s full of questions but holds them all back.
"Cassie, this is Jack. My,"—she hesitates—"friend." Jack just shrugs, showing that he's fine with the title. "Jack, this is Cassandra. My friend's daughter." She deliberately doesn't look at him, and points at Homer. "And this is Homer. Jack's dog. But he's-" she falters again, and Jack comes to her help.
"He's an introvert. He likes to get to know people first, before playing with them. So I hope you'll forgive him for being hesitant."
Cassie nods. "Can I introduce myself anyway?"
Jack looks at Homer and then back at the little girl, assessing them both. "Crouch down." She does. "Now stretch out your hand, palm up, but slowly." Cassie does as she's told and her hand ends up several inches from Homer's nose. But the poor dog just looks up at Jack. He moves his gaze from Homer to Cassie's hand, his hand still on the dog's head, and then Homer moves too, just an inch. And then another, and another, until he can sniff the girl's hand.
All the while Sam can't look away from them and hardly dares to breath.
Cassie doesn't move at all, as Homer learns her scent, but then he stops and shifts back to hide behind Jack's legs.
"He didn't like me," Cassie says, heartbroken.
"No, he did like you. It's just like I said, he's hesitant. Some people he used to trust hurt him, so he doesn't want it to happen again," Jack explains.
It seems to make Cassie feel better. "Maybe next time he'll like me more. He already knows me."
Jack smiles at her, "I'm sure he will."
Cassie grins, but then someone calls her name and she runs back to her friends without a word.
"She's a nice kid," Jack says.
"She is," Sam says, wondering about Jack's own child. He doesn't even know that I know, she thinks and it makes her feel bad.
"I thought she was yours at first." Startled, Sam looks at him. "But you look nothing alike."
"Well, genetics can be unpredictable and surprising sometimes."
"True," he says, but there's something in his eyes she doesn't quite get. And suddenly he looks older.
Sam gets the urge to hug him, and there's really no use lying to herself about it. She doesn't know him, but she very much wants to get to know him.
But then he gets up. "We should get going. I think this is getting a little too much for him." He nods at Homer. "It was nice talking to you." Jack gives her his hand, and she shakes it, feeling his strength and warmth, trying to ignore it.
Her left hand, however, rests on the bench, and then Homer takes a step forward and starts sniffing it.
Sam and Jack freeze and stare at him, their hands still clasped together. Both of them unwilling to scare the dog.
And then Homer tilts his head slightly so that his ear touches Sam's hand.
"Move it," Jack says quietly. "But slowly."
And she does.
Carefully Sam raises her left hand, so that the dog could always see it, and just as carefully she scratches his ear. He doesn't recoil, just closes his eyes. Sam does it again.
But when she looks up at Jack, with a small smile on her face, he stares at her with wide eyes and his hand squeezes hers. "It took him a week to allow me to pet him."
Sam's smile widens. "I guess he likes me."
Jack smiles back at her. "I guess he does."
She has a feeling he's not just talking about his dog, and with her left hand still gently petting Homer, and her right hand still clasped in Jack's, she feels a wonderful sense of ease and acceptance.
Maybe it's true what they say about soul mates.

Oh gosh, pretty sure I started following you for Stargate! And RDA in general. But soon enjoyed everything about your blog and then you as well!
I’m pretty sure I started following YOU because of your enthusiasm for RDA and Stargate, and then was like ‘oh this chick also likes Harrison Ford and sci-fi and cats and is generally awesome’ so that tracks! :)
why did you start following me? tell me, on anon or not, if you remember. I’m curious!
sierragolfoneniner replied to your post “I hate this “comma isn’t strong enough” thing who decided that? oh and...”
Dashes are gross. When reading, for me, it makes a pause too long and as if the speaker is just trailing all the time. And I don't like it.
yeees, they can be useful I guess, when someone interrupts someone, but this
“And this”—she pointed at the Stargate SG1 DVD—”is clearly underrated.”
is stupid

I'm so pleased, but I can't believe Fox cancelled Lucifer. Wtf are they doing?
I KNOW! I can’t decide whether I’m really happy that B99 is saved, but I also just want to scream because we’ve lost Lucifer, and honestly I don’t see it getting rescued the same way :(
so basically, never watch another fox show, I think. fuck them :(
