a reason why: I watched Gilmore Girls from beginning to end since the very first episode, and while I did enjoy the early seasons and I still love the banter, the fast-paced dialogues filled with pop culture references, and the quirky townspeople, Iāve grown to dislike the title characters. I think Lorelai and Rory are entitled, annoying, self-involved assholes - the type of people I would loathe in real life, and tbh, after the revival, I do kind of loathe them. I just donāt find them charming and endearing anymore, and the show has lost its appeal to me. With every season, Lorelaiās and Roryās decisions made less and less sense and they became more infuriatingĀ and irritating to watch. And to bring back the show and end it in on that note, knowing that that was the intended original ending? I think itās just awful writing.Ā
