Sidd and Chess (7 at the time) were playing by the mouth of a downstream canal and he went to watch some large yagaras that were passing by. The railing there was old and rusted and the rail wobbled then broke, Sidd feel in and him being a small 8 year old he wasn't able to fight the stream very well, only enough to pop his head above the water every now and then.

People in yagaras tried to catch him but he was just going to fast. There was a particularly rough part of the canal and he got banged up on some rocks and debris, Chess chased after him as best he could along the canals paths and bridges. He eventually ran across Paulie who, being one of the children's uncles, immediately jumped in after him.

Paulie was able to grab Sidd and after being carried a little down the stream managed to get a rope around a piece of railing.

•Chess has gotten him to try biking but kaku finds that its just not for him, they still do parkour (Sidd can parkour too he just does it more commuting purposes and exercise).

•Kaku won't sail surf though because he's a devil fruit user still and ya know how DF and ocean mix

•I did feel weird about having Dimitri being so much softer compared to his dad but then kind of realized that Lucci is the way he is probably because of being raised as a human weapon so in this au he's still stoic but he's more like his first concept self in that he's just a weird dude that's kind of shy (he absolutely can still crush a man's skull with a single finger tho 👀)

•got side tracked but yeah Dimitri is on the kinder side, he's autistic and doesn't emote much physically like me so people initially think he's a mean person but it doesn't take much to realize he's a big sweetheart
