To be honest, I never liked Roast Pork. The ones I have tried tends to be steeped in salt and MSG. However, I am well aware of the hype and the hullabaloo generated in the virtual world and in the printed media by the Fu Shi Roast Meat Stall in Shunfu Market.  It is open until midday, apparently everyday except Mondays and Tuesdays when it is closed! I wanted to know how amazing it tastes! What is the fascination?

Feeling adventurous, we ordered Roast pork and Char Siew noodles as well as Roast Chicken and Char Siew rice.

The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Roast Pork! The crispiness of the skin reminded me of the sound of dry autumn leaves crumbling under my feet. The tangy noodles bounced playfully against my tongue and palate. The tender meat and fats melted into a lazy sloth of delight. Almost instantaneously, the vivaviousness of the mixture ignited the melody of Vivaldi's "Spring" in my mind. I am going to have sweet dreams tonight, with the lingering taste of five spice and sweet juicy meats in my mouth.

Boy, I wanted more! And I will return for more!
