Long ago when the world was still new, it was barren and unsustainable. One day 5 spirits came and decided to heal the planet. These 5 spirits are what we call the Grand Elders. They each represented apart of the earth. The sky, the land, the seas, the ice and snow, and finally the sun and all things of heat in the world. Each spirit took a form. The sky became a dragon, the earth became a monkey, ice became a fox with nine tails, water became a gigantic turtle, and the sun took the form of a phoenix. After a Century of tireless work the land became fertile and lively.
The first inhabitants were surprisingly other spirits and so they went about traveling all over the world. Eventually animals and beasts of legend were born. The first were the same forms the grand elders took. Overtime more and more beings were made first of them came from the vast seas and oceans, next came from the sky’s and the last were of the land.
Seeing all that this world accomplished and made the 5 elders came together to create their crowning jewel man itself. The monkey made the body out of dirt and rock. The Zaratan filled the body with water and gave it shape. The Phoenix gave them their firey emotions and energy. The fox gave them their resourcefulness, instincts and structures to hold their body up. Last but not least the dragon gave them the breath of life.
Over a few centuries man out grew their small villages so the elders each led them across the continent each to a spacious land that represented each selective spirit. The monkey led man towards the west where there were bountiful forests, lush grass, vast vegetation and rich soil. Knowing that humanity would need homes the monkey taught them to make their homes out of the very trees themselves. This land became the kingdom hidden in the trees, Solum.
The fox led man towards the north. To the land of large glaciers, tall mountain ranges and land covered in snow. Seeing this land to be a difficult one the fox taught humans how to survive in this frozen land. This land later became the kingdom of the ice and snow, Shuang.
The Zaratan led man towards the great seas, oceans, islands and coasts. Seeing how this land is tricky the Zaratan taught man the art of sailing and how to build cities atop the swaying sea. This land was later known as the kingdom that sits atop of the seas Aigéan.
The Phoenix led man towards the south. Where the vast deserts stretched for as far as the eye could see. Knowing the hardships of such a land the Phoenix showed them to an area full of oasises and a large river that constantly and predictably flooded allowing the flooded areas to be used as an area for crops and food. This land later became the kingdom of the golden sands Ilanga.
The dragon led man into the center of the large continent this land was unique as it possessed pieces of each land. Large bountiful trees, lush grass, and rich soil for crops. Tall mountain ranges for natural defense and snow. Large rivers and streams for sailing and drinking. Large deserts for the materials to craft art and structures. What made this kingdom special even more so was that the dragon taught them the skill of crafting and building stone structures. This land also posses frequent rain and storms. This land later became the kingdom of raging storms Tempesta our home.
After a few centuries of peace and harmony the people of each land traded and lived together but like all good things it must eventually end. From beyond the world came a great darkness that had not been seen since the beginning of the universe. This darkness only brings destruction and entropy wherever it goes. For every good there is a bad, when there is light there is darkness. This is what this darkness was the opposite of the elders. When the darkness appeared it made beings known as demons and monsters which ravaged the land and terrorized the creatures. The elders, seeing the destruction of their creations went to fight off the darkness. But they were utterly defeated. When all hope seemed lost the humans their greatest creations cane to their aid and fought to protect them and the world they were entrusted with.
Seeing this act of kindness and selflessness the elders decided to enter the leaders of each land and fight along side them. Over nearly a century of battle they managed to defeat the darkness but before they could destroy the demons and monsters they had fled. Unknown to them before he was defeated the darkness sent out his seven generals to infect humanity. The elders bound the darkness underneath the earth bound in chains of light from the light spirits.
Due to the hardships of the war the 5 elders were in danger of dying so as a way to preserve themselves they bonded forever with the leaders of each land. Passing on from successor to successor, reincarnating in a way. When the leaders and elders learned of the actions of the seven generals they were too late to stop it and now humanity was infected with the seven deadly sins. Each leader promised the elders that no matter what humans would never submit to their sins. Even today we kept that promise always fighting our sins day by day.
Eventually the leaders now kings and queens were consumed by their sins and were driven by them to wage war against each other in a hope to have humanity destroy themselves. This began the war of Eons. Luckily after each century they all agree to cease fire to lick their wounds and hope to find peace but to this day it still hasn't happened. But at the end of each of the first rulers lives they received a prophecy after countless generations of war there will be a final chance to gain peace and it starts with a peasant king.
There is a warning though, if this generation fails in bringing peace the world shall forever be claimed by darkness. So far this hasn't come to pass most kings and queens are of royal or noble blood but who knows "maybe you'll be that king my son." A woman with graying long black hair and brown skin turned towards a sleeping child. She chuckled at the boy. "Heheheh, sweet dreams my son" she kisses the child's forehead and walks away.

New sketch of Shuang.
Also regarding the whole Tumblr NSFW ban thing and hopping over to Twitter: I haven’t really decided whether I’ll begin posting my pictures there yet or not. I suppose it mainly depends on whether people still follow me here, and if all of the artists I follow go there instead.
Here’s a thingy I prepared so I can try different kind of hairstyles on Shuang. I tried her current hairstyle on it already, and will probably be trying out a bunch more.
Shuang, the character I spend most of my time (and art) on. She’s a monk, and leads a paramilitary order called the Fallen Leaf to improve Pandaria.
