Serenity House PSA
All members MUST read this post in it’s entirety.Â
It has come to the attention of the admods that many players in the RPG are feeling excluded. They had pointed out they feel left out, not because anyone is purposely attempting to exclude them, but because they notice certain people are only writing with one another. It has also been noted that many starters are ignored, or, someone will post a starter and then disappear- never replying to any of them.
Unfortunately, we have been attempting to avoid this rule since Serenity opened, but due to the consistency of it’s mentioning to us- we are going to have to make some rules about starters.
Before you can post a starter of your own, you must reply to TWO DIFFERENT STARTERS! Different meaning starters made on characters by two different muns!! The starter you reply to must also have LESS than 3 notes!
**You are not allowed to post a starter and disappear/ignore certain replies/drop threads. Starters are not a loophole to get out of activity checks.
Activity now counts only for interactions between you and another player. If a character has posted a starter, but has not done any replies- they will be unfollowed.
**You cannot post a starter on each of your characters at once. Your limit is 2 starters for your characters a day. This is to prevent tag flooding and abuse of starters to get out of activity checks.
**These rules do not apply to CLOSED starters**
Hopefully these rules will help starters get more attention, stop the flooding of the tag, and encourage members to interact with different people than they usually do.
As for the “clique issue” - us admods have noticed it as well. We ourselves can sometimes be guilty of bubble rping and we personally apologize. It is something all of us have to work on. This is a ROLEPLAY GROUP! Not a 1 x 1, or a 2 x 2, or a 3 x 3. A group. You should be interacting with EVERYONE. Plotting with EVERYONE!
We are not going to mention any names, but if the bubble rping does not stop- we will be personally addressing those who we’ve taken notice on and there will be consequences. It is against the rules that you pledged to follow when you joined by submitting those two passwords to bubble rp, so the easiest way for this problem to be resolved is to not do it. Branch out. Shoot a message to a mun you’ve never spoken to before.
It is no fun to have starters ignored, threads dropped, etc etc. We know we aren’t that large of a group, but we have about 26 members and almost 50 characters- there is absolutely NO REASON and NO EXCUSE for not interacting with other players/members.
We get it, you’re going to have people you are closer with and are more comfortable plotting with, trust us, that’s how the three mods became friends in the first place. But, having friends and writing partners should not stop you from writing with other characters and reaching out to other members. It isn’t cool.
Helpful hint? Go down the OOC list! Shoot a “Hey, let’s plot!” message to someone you’ve never spoken to! That’s the whole point of being in an RPG and not writing on an indie blog- we’re a group! We write together.Â
We love you all and we really do not want to take further action on this issue. We know it is something we can easily fix if we all do our part and work together.
PLEASE LIKE THIS POST SO WE KNOW YOU HAVE READ IT! :)Â
