Just popping into existence somehow, barely having powers and all, basically acting like past Kai and show!Kai‘s just like: ”is anyone taking this?“ and not even waiting for an answer before going all mentor on the poor guy.

A plus would be if it’s post monstrosity.

A double plus would be with Show!Kai being half bug and Movie!Kai being half phoenix or something.

I always kind of saw Kai as a Phoenix :]

Kai: T- Then why did you say thirty?

SHOW KAI #1 1991 (cover)

Show Kai was affiliated with the PUBLIC BATH label and Show Kai #1 included two cassettes of prime blurt, featuring Omoide Hatoba, Folk Tales, Daihakase, Dub Squad, Soap-Jo Henshi and The Goonzees. 

Subterranean Mail Order has some info on these artists, but their site hasn’t been updated since June 2002. 

Browbeat #1 reviewed Show Kai #1 in 1993.

Public Bath was founded by David Hopkins. It seems to have ceased operations in 1996. Here’s a neat, if brief, December 2012 post from Friendsound about PB and their three essential (at the time) Japan Bashing 7” comps. As Friendsound writes, “Nobody knows if it really happened.”
