Telling the story to the audience
Interacting with the audience
Forgetting when supposed to go on stage for their scene
Not being fully ready and making sure that they are in their full costume
Need to work on the last dance routine
Personally I felt during our first performance we done really well performing as our characters through using our physicality and telling the story out to the audience, this kept the audience intrigued and made them feel that they were a part of the Christmas show.
I enjoyed this and I thought that we all did really well for our first performance. I found that it was really good to see how everyone was committed, focused, and how everyone on stage was reacting to what was going on inside each scene. Through analysing the performance and getting to see the audience’s reaction to what was going on inside each of the scenes I enjoyed getting to watch my fellow actors perform as their characters whilst off stage and getting to see it from my own perspective.
I felt whilst performing as my character on stage that I projected and performed well as my character, however I feel that I can be more dramatic with my character when crying as my character on stage during the Town Cryer scene. And I feel that I can go a lot further with my character, but I think for my first performance I did really well.
I felt that the weaknesses inside this performance was that there were certain actors who missed their cue for when to come on stage, this affected the scene and the actors that were a part of it. And there was actors who left it til the last minute to get there props for their scene that was coming up, this made those actors miss their cues and turn up late on stage which left dead space on stage.
I feel that during tomorrow’s warm up i feel that we need to work on “ease on down” dance routine, this is because i felt that during the dance routine that no’one was in time with each other
After the Christmas show i spoke to members of the audience who said they really enjoyed the Christmas show and liked the different characters and how we as a company kept them intrigued and made them feel like they were a part of the show.
 Second Performance year 5&6
I really enjoyed this performance and getting to perform in front of a young audience. The reason why i enjoy performing in front of a live audience is because at that age they are very imaginative and that all the things that we do on stage as our characters intrigues them a lot. And because there are a lot more reactions from the young children than the adults in the audience and the fact that the children think that what is going on stage is real, for example when children are watching cartoons they think its real and they believe in there imagination that those characters are real.
I felt that we as a company performed really well on stage and interacing with the audience and making them become a part of the Christmas show. i felt whilst i was performing i felt really happy to getting to put smiles on the childrens faces and how fascinated and engaged they are inside the performance. I feel that we have progressed on reacting more to what is going on inside each of the scenes and i feel that it is progressing in each performance that we do. I feel that one of our main weaknesses that i feel that the company is struggling with is keeping in time with one another inside the dance routines, such as “ease on down”
After the performance i spoke to members of the audience which found the performance incredible. I also asked children on what they thought about the Christmas show and they said that they enjoyed everything inside the performance and really enjoyed the ending and being able to interact with all the characters at the end of the performance.
