Maaaan I'm thinking about Shoreleave and having feelings. Like he works for the OSI (an organisation that is such a weird, patriarchal boys club) where he's worked since he was a boy. I can only imagine the kind of homophobic crucible he went through that tempered him into the intensely proud, open, self sure person he is today. He makes me so happy as a character.
We are one month away from Shore Leave 46 and I am SO excited to be attending. Aside from several of my celebrity faves, they’ve got great panels, activities, and of course, tons of books and merchandise vendors (like me). Put it in the calendar for July 10-12 and I’ll see you there!

OSI character layouts currently up for grabs over at Titmouse! Auction ends May 21st, noon PST
For the HC ask
Dr Orpheus
Al the Alchemist
Jefferson Twilight
Triana
And Shore Leave:D
Dr Opheus: I feel like hes basically an uncle to Hank and Dean and as such he gets to take them on fun trips (that only occasionally become adventures). He likes going to theme parks with them! I headcanon him as being of vaguely middle eastern descent but in the same way that old TV shows would have one ethnically ambiguous character (like Pierre in Danger 5). He isn't a big clubbing guy (he much prefers to host fancy events at his house) but he often goes as Al's plus one if he's asked so a lot of the local queer community know him. He is also a really good cook :)
Al the Alchemist: Definitely had a lot of failed romances in the past but still isn't good with heartbreak. Has a habit of getting way too invested way too fast. Every time things go wrong he'll phone Orpheus and vent about it until the middle of the night. I think he used to be big into the drag scene but never got the nerve to preform himself. He is a total sweetheart tho and people in the community know to come to him if there's any trouble.
Jefferson Twilight: I think he is a bit of a car guy (just LOOK at the Blood Vessel that thing is hella custom) and as such he talks to Brock a fair amount. He has given Helper a paint job at least once. He's a bit closed off at first but if he figures out you have anything in common he will invite you places. He has a surprisingly large social circle. He works out a lot to stay in hunting condition and has a home gym. He let Orpheus name his swords even though he thinks it's dorky to name your weapons.
Triana: gets suuuuuper into magic in college and has a natural nack for it just like her parents. I like to think she's bi and had a one off thing with Kim before Kim "found Jesus".
And Shore Leave: Is responsible for a number of characters realising things about their own sexualities. He's just so openly gay and safe to talk to and flirts with everyone so he also ends up being a few people's first gay kiss even if it goes nowhere (cough cough Brock). He's fine with this. He's actually worked for the OSI for a long time (at one point he said hes been beating up bad guys since he was a kid?) and is older than he looks. He will never reveal his real age so stop asking.
