oh also that last post (the āvenn diagramā for love lab, double date and coin toss) reminded me of this so here.
venn diagram of the rhythm heaven girls i think are cute (made in google slides)-
why do barelys not break perfects in shoot-'em-up or frog hop or lockstep tho. like. i really do wonder if there's a reason or smth.
fun fact: 120's the most common bpm. like, sneaky spirits (base tempo), space dance, quiz show (i think??? idk if that's just the opening jingle thingie but like. whatever-), ds remix 2, crop stomp, splashdown (and splashdown 2), see-saw (idk which part cuz it has three bpms i think but one of them), samurai slice, exhibition match, tap troupe, prequel karate man, and proooobably some other prequels (i know prequel sneaky spirits is also 120 as its base tempo) are all 120 bpm.
also there's like. nine games that're 142 bpm. off the top of my head i can just think of fan club, shoot-'em-up, samurai slice 2 and right-hand remix but there's probably others-
also also there's only three games that have their base tempo over 200, those being love lizards (204), remix 5 (204) and rhythm rally 2 (210).
idk why i know these things but i just thought i'd share-
basically rhythm heaven ds
okay i'm doing this with ds now. my fave. so yeah.

okay but thereās something weird to me,,, so barelys (early/late inputs) end perfect campaigns, aside from for a handful of games in ds (shoot-āem-up, frog hop and lockstep; i should note that despite this, they donāt count as hits in a regular gameplay, i.e. you could get a technical perfect in lockstep but still get a just ok), and those are the only exceptions,,, supposedly.
thereās actually another exception (maybe a couple but i just know one) that iāve never seen anyone bring up: built to scale (fever).
so in built to scale, a barely presents itself as the rod bouncing at an angle with,,, i believe a doink but i donāt remember for sure, but it bounces to the next,,, thing fine.Ā this doesnāt end a perfect campaign (at least in fever, not sure in megamix). as long as the rod gets bounced, the perfect campaign keeps going.
maybe people donāt bring it up because built to scaleās already so easy (i will admit itās easy but itās still pretty fun imo), but iāve seen literally no one mention it and thatās really weird to me.
how do i know this, you may ask? i got several (i believe) barelys when i perfected built to scale and built to scale 2. granted, i might just be wrong and those just count as early/late aces/perfects/hits/whatever you call them, but i believe theyāre barelys, yet a perfect campaign doesnāt end with one (as i said, in fever; in megamix i donāt have built to scale because itās like eight flow balls? screwbot factory is cheaper than built to scale, where were their priorities??).
so yeah just something interesting i think people should mention; iād include footage but idk if thereās any since iām pretty sure the main perfect video for built to scale just has aces and iāve already perfected built to scale + donāt want to install a rom of fever just in order to showcase this,,, iām not even on the computer where i could-
hardest games for me: monkey watch, remix 2 (fever), air rally, love rap 2 (i still have a superb on it tho-), remix 10 (fever), glee club (specifically in ds), fan club (specifically in ds), blue birds (specifically in ds), shoot-āem-up, moai do-wop, crop stomp, freeze frame (specifically in ds), remix 3 (ds), marcher (at first, now i have a superb on it and marching orders in megamix), samurai slice, cheese heist/rat race (i suck at in tengoku and in megamix-), wizard waltz, tram & pauline, showtime (so all of set 3 except for bunny hop and space dance-), bouncy road (fuck bouncy road, all my homies hate bouncy road), ninja (i hate ninja), fireworks (yeah i didnāt struggle with bon odori but i struggled with fireworks-), remix 5 (gba; itās a good remix but itās very hard), bon dance (had to skip :/), remix 6 (gba), bouncy road 2, marcher 2, polyrhythm 2 (itās holding me hostage from the rest of tengoku- this is a cry for help), first contact, airboarder, second contact, animal acrobat, frog hop, lockstep, munchy monk, jumpinā jazz, jungle gymnast andddddd final remix (itās the only remix i canāt superb in megamix-).
,,, yeah rhythm rallyās not hard-
all i want in life is to not suck at rhythm heaven ds.
iām good at fever (i only have like five superbs left), why the fuck do i suck at ds so much??? i havenāt even gotten to any keep the beat games cuz rhds barely has any (thereās like. space soccer maybe. and lockstep. and thatās about it. ninety percent of everything else is a repeat after me game because someone on the development team was obsessed with torturing people with moai do-wop and shoot-āem-up dear god why are they in the same set???)- and those are usually my problem-
,,, actually i lied, all i want in life is to play megamix but iāll probably end up getting stuck on the third game cuz itās air rally.
but i mean granted, the clouds are my problem in air rally, maybe iāll do better without them since in megamix they were just likeĀ āhm how about we just donātā.
