Senator Shockwave called her “Windsy” ONCE and it was contagious, soon enough more allies started using it and she couldn’t be happier. It’s a word of endearment. It’s a word of endearment and it means me.

When she comes to Earth and is posing as a human pilot, she’s given the callsign “Cassandra”. Alright. Cool. This is me now. Hi! I’m Cassandra.

One of the TF One scenes reminded me of this

After their first encounter, while she was lashing out about her frustration, Windshear threatened Senator Shockwave by pressing her Railgun against his cheek. The weapon was still hot so it burned him a little, though not enough to cause serious damage. Shockwave made a full recovery in a few days and held no grudge against her, but after they became friends, she was really embarrassed and guilt about it so she constantly apologized to him about it during random moments. She claimed she could still see the scar on his cheek, despite Shockwave and everyone else insisting there was no scar. It kind of became an inside joke between them. Or more accurately, a running gag.

When she meets shadowplayed Shockwave again, she tells him she can still see it. And for a split second Shockwave cracks, sighing in exasperation, almost chuckling, and saying that he’s already told her a thousand times that it’s fine.
