Longarm keeping Bee as his personal body guard after convincing him to stay by his side during boot camp <3
Bumblebee walks by Longarm's side, radiating with pride wherever he goes. He’s been equipped with better weapons compared to his original stingers, but even then, Longarm is sure the puny thing won’t stand a chance against a real threat.
Not that is it a real concern, after all Bumblebee is more of a companion to him. The whole Intelligence building knows it, they all see Bee as Longarm’s lap dog, always cheerfully walking alongside his boss. The ones that have the decency to not bring it up are nice to him, but Bumblebee feels the judging glares and pretends to ignore the whispers from others.
Longarm calms his worries, reassuring him that he is in fact an important asset to the team, that he is important to him. Bumblebee accepts the comments halfheartedly, he pretends he doesn’t notice what the others say of him. He’s doing something important. At least that’s what Longarm’s always saying.
But sometimes, as he’s sitting on Longarm’s lap, watching the other do reports while he sits there, he starts wondering if he really is just an accessory, a pretty thing for the Prime to show off. A bodyguard shouldn’t be doing all the things he does, nor do they ever receive expensive gifts or steal kisses from the bot they’re supposed to keep safe. He wants to complain, say something, anything but the caresses and compliments make him feel wanted, he’s not sure he wants them to end.

hi! so two things… one, have you seen the shockbee animations on youtube by the animator cuptoast? i only realized after i watched them that they’re not meant to be romantic/ship(i think lol) but they’re AMAZING! two, entirely unrelated, do you have any tips for starting off drawings robots/mecha? i really want to contribute to this itty bitty ship but i never learned drawing anything outside of animals!

I haven't seen them but I do know about the shockdad AU fan works :)! Even if they aren't ship content I'm happy people want to explore the dynamic between Bumblebee and Shockwave, it's always nice to see other's interpretation of their relationship <3
For the second question: Try practicing by redrawing episodes scenes or tracing over and see what shapes make up the characters!
Always try to use references, they're life savers, also looking at the Allspark Almanac for references helps a lot
I don't remember what exactly helped me adapt to the Animated style but perhaps it was the constant practice (because I've been drawing these idiots since 2020 LOL).
It's always a rough start with mecha/robots but you will eventually get the hang of it, just give it time and don't over stress yourself.
Also! You can always make the characters animals, catformers are still drawn a lot (haven't seen much dragon formers lately but hey, special mention to those too)
