Not to sound insane but I doubt he left voluntarily and I doubt it was just bc of wanting to release solo work (since there’s plenty of idols, even under HYBE, that release solo stuff while in groups) so let me share two of the theories my friend has bc I think they would make at least some sense:
He had a minor scandal that engenes didn’t find out about yet, like dating someone, and the company found out, and knowing how insane some engenes are, they decided to get ahead of it and kick him out. (I’m just doubtful bc I feel like it would’ve then made more sense to either wait until the fans find out and at least see how they react, or put him on hiatus until it’s handled internally (not that dating should be a scandal and obviously idols should be allowed to date but I’m just saying this bc of how the industry works)) I also say minor scandal bc if it was a big one, they likely wouldn’t handle it like this and even keep him in the same label.
Something big happened between the members that made it impossible for him to stay in the group. (I didn’t see them acting differently toward each other in the new content but they’re also idols and trained to act a certain way so that doesn’t necessarily need to mean anything)
Ofc I hope it’s not that deep and he literally just left bc he wants to be a solo artist before being an enhypen member but it’s just all so strange…
i don't think he had a scandal per se because i think that would've resulted in him being kicked out of the label/company too but he still gets to promote as a solo idol now so idk i do hope it's not the second one and i also am skeptical of that because of what jungwon said here but i feel like this decision has to inevitably make them feel some sorta way about him leaving ☹️
