Shiver was allowed to go home early and decided to surprise Azuri. With a whole lot of affection

It was a late afternoon. Normally Deep Cut would stay behind for the night news but today is they’re allowed to leave early as the recording for the news is finished early and they don’t need to stay behind for any work in the studios. All three decided to leave home early, as Shiver left the studios with quick steps, excited to see her girlfriend back home. And as she went home, she decided, maybe she could surprise her octo with a kiss

Meanwhile, Azuri was rereading her favorite novel while sitting peacefully on the couch. Decided to finish up some more chapters before starting to make dinner. Too invested in the novel to realize a small creak from the entrance of their shared apartment room, and her idol girlfriend coming home early.

Not until Azuri feels a tug from behind, and then a sudden and quick kiss to her lips.

“Surprise Azzy! I’m allowed to be home early today”,

Azuri blushed heavily from the sudden surprise and just voiced out an “eek”, earning a chuckle from Shiver.

Setting down the bag on the sofa, Shiver decided to sit down next to Azuri, only to be tackled and pulled into a kiss, catching Shiver off-guard for a second, before she deepened it.

“This experience will never not be magical” , Shiver thought, “Never” .

The kiss eventually ended, but their noses still touched as Azuri whispered, “I love you so much Shiver, and I’m happy that you’re here now, with me”.

With an endearing brush of Azuri’s tentacles, Shiver whispers back, “I love you too Azuri, so so much, and I’m happy to be here with you.”, before giving Azuri a quick kiss on the cheek.

Both hugged each other tight before slowly sitting up. With Azuri giving Shiver a little bonk on the head, getting a dramatic “Owww” from Shiver

“Don’t surprise me like that again! I was at my favorite part.”

“You like it though!”, said Shiver, “Plus this is the fifth time you read that novel”

“I like it okay. Plus I was boreddd”

Shiver chuckled and winked, “No promises”, getting a dramatic angry face from Azuri.

“I’ll be changing out of these clothes and take a shower okay? I’ll be back to help you with dinner. You can finish your novel while I’m gone”, said Shiver as she stood up and picked up her bag. 

Azuri smiled and nodded, “Have a nice shower Shivvy!”

Shiver yelled back with a smile, “I will! Talk to you later!”

“Okay!”, responded Azuri as she picked up her novel that had been dropped earlier and got back to reading.

Breakfast date!

“We're here!”, says Azuri as she and Shiver arrive at a small bakery and restaurant.

“Quite cozy. Shall we go in?”, asks Shiver 

“Let's go!”, says Azuri as they enter the bakery and find a seat next to the window

“Feels warm and pleasant here! And I love the smell of fresh bread”, says Azuri excitedly.

Shiver nods along and opens a menu for the two to pick their food for breakfast, “So what do you want to have?”

“Hmm…this fried egg and sausage sandwich one would be nice. And I wanna try the chocolate stuffed fluffy one! Oh and hot chocolate of course!”

“Alright, I got my order down too. Lemme take the order and bring the food back okay?”

“Okay!”

Shiver stands up and heads to the nearby counter to order while Azuri absentmindedly look outside, thinking about their plans for today. “Maybe a nice shopping trip or arcade would be fun”

Azuri’s train of thought is cut short with a gentle sound of a metal tray and Shiver’s voice rings out, “We got our food Azzy! Some delicious breads and two cups of hot choco. With marshmallow toppings too”

“Woaaaa. These looks delicious! And fresh too! And I don't know they have marshmallow toppings!”

“Well, they said it's their special today. Guess we're lucky.”

“That's great! Now let's dive in!”

“Yeah! Enjoy the breakfast Azzy”

“You too!”

Shiver and Azuri decided to wear matching hoodies for their breakfast date

“So…what to wear for today’s date”, mutters Shiver, “It’s quite cold today. Not too cold though. I’ll probably grab a pair of jeans, a nice t-shirt and a jac-oh right my jacket was dirty. Any ideas Azzy?”

Shiver pokes head out to see Azuri, dressed in an adorable set of sky blue pants, a cozy Deep Cut shirt that Shiver gifted a while ago and an adorable dolphin hoodie, waiting at the door with her phone.

“Adorable…This gives me an idea” , thinks Shiver as she goes through the wardrobe to find that shark hoodie that she bought a while ago, “Perfect”

Azuri calls out, “Are you ready for the date?”

“I’m coming! Just grabbing my phone and we’ll be off”

“Okay!”

Shiver closes the wardrobe, grabs her phone, and slides it into her pocket before going out to meet Azuri waiting

Azuri, hearing Shiver’s footsteps, looks up from her phone to an, “Shivvy, you’re so adorableee! You pick your shark hoodie for today?”

Shiver nods and winks, “To match with the most adorable octo in the room”

Azuri blushes hard hearing Shiver’s words, making Shiver chuckles a little

Shiver decides to lean in and kiss Azuri on the cheek, earning an “eek!” from her, “Shall we leave now, my pretty princess?”

Azuri nods, “Yes, yes we shall leave. Plus I’m hungryyy”

“Alright. Off to breakfast!”

“Yeah! Let’s go!”
