If it weren’t for the ramshackle remains of what seem to be dens, Buzzardfur wouldn’t believe a living cat had ever set foot in the clearing. As he takes a few tentative pawsteps in, an inexplicable sense of … something presses onto him, not quite dread but certainly not comfort. He’s never seen something like this before, a barren land that nonetheless was certainly lived in—empty, yet somehow teeming with life. No, he muses, life-after-death would be more accurate.

i was bored so i made art of my littlecloud kits (and apprentice) using a base by ThisAccountIsDead462 / TaiintyHuman (seems like they changed their name to TawnySoup? idk) on deviantart! i decided to write little bios for them too!

minnowkit

while not the first kit raised by leaffall and nightear, minnowkit was the first to survive more then a couple of moons; named for her eyes (minnows seem to. kinda look to be her eye color), minnowkit is a feisty and energetic she-kit, at three and a half (3.68 to be exact) moons of age. she is quite playful, and quite squirmy when it comes to being groomed. she cares for her siblings, but gets along with wavepaw, nightear’s apprentice, the best.

frecklekit

frecklekit was found with her brother and littermate, volekit, being quite timid. named due to her splotchy toe beans paw pads and nose, frecklekit is quiet and timid, getting along with her mothers quite well, and is at a little less then one and a quarter moons old (she’s 1.23 moons old). as her brother was brought to another clan due to six kits being too much of a pawful for nightear and leaffall, she can at times suffer from separation anxiety, and is eager to be apprenticed and see him at gatherings.

volekit

volekit was found with his sister and littermate, frecklekit. named due to his pelt, volekit is much like his older sister, minnowkit, in personality, being the same age as frecklekit (1.23 moons). he cares for his sister very much, and was upset when he was taken to another clan to be raised there, but he knows he’ll see her at gatherings someday.

shiveringkit

the first-born of his litter who were found in a snowstorm. named due to how much he was shivering when found, and his thick pelt, shiveringkit can be quite timid, though he is also quite kind. he’s quite close with his brother, lynxkit, though he is not even one moon old yet (0.44 moons old).

lynxkit

the last-born of his litter who were found in a snowstorm. found due to his bravery in the storm, lynxkit is much like his older sister minnowkit, being playful, and can be quite silly sometimes. he does many a “blep”, and is quite a sweetheart. despite this, he is not even a moon old yet (0.44 moons old).

harekit

the second-born of his litter who were found in a snowstorm. named due to his long ears and long legs, harekit is... well, his personality’s not quite there yet, as he’s not even a moon old (0.44 moons old). his siblings may have developed theirs, but he’s a late bloomer.

wavepaw

nightear’s apprentice, wavepaw is quiet, reckless and gentle. she can be stubborn at times, and can be quite a dormouse. after the death of her mentor’s first two adopted kits (rubblekit and flipkit), she was devestated and never truly recovered, turning more reclusive. she watches their new kits carefully when asked.

Goldfur and Shiveringpaw aren't related officially because they're starter cats, but I like to think they're siblings from different litters :> big bro loves his little bro!!

"Cats of Wormclan," Duskstar started, standing tall at the summit of the mossy boulders and among the vines accompanying it. The she-cat had beckoned her apprentice forward, up to perch beside her. "Today marks yet another joyous occasion, one that I have waited for since this one was only a kit. Today, he stands before his mentor and his fellow clanmates, having proved himself through hard training and practice. I call our ancestors to look upon this cat, and I hope they hear and approve of my choice. Shiveringpaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Shiveringpatch. Wormclan honors your determination and curiosity, and welcomes you as a full warrior."

As cheers of his new name filled the camp, Shiveringpatch's pelt prickled and fluffed with excitement and pride. Instinctively, his gaze flickered to the crowd, searching for a particular face.

There Goldfur was, ears pricked and a relaxed but proud smile on the older cat's face. His big brother was certainly watching, and ready to give Shiveringpatch a playful cuff over the ears first opportunity he had to congratulate.

also I headcanon that Goldfur and Shiveringpatch are her nephews
