Ugh. Julie Plec is the fucking worst. If Bamon is literally just a straightforward friendship, then she should've written it as such. Not give us all this subtext, WAY TOO OVER THE TOP ANGST, all these parallels, and intense scenes. Take the first half of S7 for example. Bamon friendship, casual with just a little bit conflict but consistent. The second half of S7 showed none of this. The romantic aspect was undeniable. If Bamon really is just a friendship, then stop baiting us and making us see things that aren't really there. It's cruel, misleading, and just overall fucking insulting. Not to mention bad storytelling. Like what the actual fuck.
No regular friendship should have this much angst. No regular friendship should be focused on this damn much. I'm so angry at this woman and her blatant disrespect for any of her fans that aren't DErs. Even if she's lying and Bamon does happen in the finale, still who the fuck does she think she is with leading on the shippers like this? Better just close your damn mouth and actually be professional for once in your life.
This is the reason why I didn't want to ship anything in the TVD. This show fucks over every relationship that isn't Delena. The same thing happened to me with Steferine when I shipped it for a hot minute in S5 and the writers fucked over that gruesomely in just one episode. I guess I should've expected Bamon wouldn't be any different.
Fuck you, Julie Plec. Fuck you and your fan-baiting, fuck you and your bad stories, fuck you and the grip Delena has you, and last but not least fuck you for your complete lack of respect for every other part of this fandom.
