a     frown     tugged     down     on     her     lips     staring     off     at     the     person     walking     away     from     the     two     of     them.     ‘     yea,     you     would     think.     ’     a     sigh     as     she     shook     her     head.     ‘     but     in     this     town     death     doesn’t     always     manage     to     keep     people     away.     ’     turning     back     to     face     the     blonde.     ‘     it     takes     some     time     getting     used     to     it,     but     it     can     still     be     surprising.     ’

   but someone like starlight, or now -- annie, as she had made it public on instagram, who went on live to tell the truth about everything, had caught raven’s interest, and there was no getting off her radar. ❝ I’m not asking you to like me, or even trust me. I just need you to know we are in the same boat. ❞

sapphire   eyes   flicker   from   her   eyes   to   the   other’s   lips   before   red   lips   are   pressing   against   the   flesh   .   everything   in   peggy   is   telling   her   that   this   is   right   ,   that   this   is   what   she’s   suppose   to   be   doing   right   now   .   there’s   no   one   else   in   the   world   she   would   rather   be   kissing   right   now   .   hand   rests   against   annie’s   waist   ,   pulling   her   body   flush   against   her   .   the   press   of   their   bodies   together   makes   her   heart   warm   .

there’s   a   certain   innocence   that   annie   possess   that   the   captain   hasn’t   seen   in   a   person   in   a   long   time   so   when   the   super   asks   to   dance   with   her   in   the   rain   ,   peggy   can’t   deny   her   request   .   she   takes   a   hold   of   the   other’s   stretched   out   hand   and   lets   herself   be   pulled   out   into   the   downpour   .   hands   rest   on   annie’s   waist   ,   pulling   her   close   to   her   .   slowly   ,   they   start   to   sway   to   the   invisible   music   .   “   i   promise   to   always   dance   with   you   in   the   rain   .”

             safety,  in general,  is often an illusion when applied to life overall.  it is often like an incomplete tapestry;  it only takes pulling on one loose thread for it all to unravel.  and,  like so,  it requires only one misstep for her own path to go horribly awry.  but that does not mean all things and people themselves hold danger.  and when the other woman speaks,  magnolia takes time to ponder the words. her gaze flickers over her annie’s features as her mind more closely examine’s her soul.  not that she has many doubts anymore.  ❝  i do,  ❞  she decides.  a small nod is given before she reaches for her notepad.  it takes a few moments before she turns it around for her companion to read the pristine handwriting  ❛  i don’t feel cautious of your heart.  ❜   but truthfully,  that has a way of adding to her worries.  anytime there is kindness in her life it is usually stripped away violently.  this causes her to write again more quickly.  ❛  i’m worried about you being safe around me.  ❜
