A tiny shield beetle. He seems to be wearing Autumn shades. Just caught him nestling on my car. As a child and young woman, I used to walk for miles in the Hertfordshire countryside. Little jewels like this were my joy. My mother taught me a lot about Nature and we often adopted animals or people that were neglected or in need.
