                        knowing her since relatively the beginning of this   cold and cruel   new world, he watched her grow, flourish, become the woman she is today. daryl watched her find the love of her life, her husband glenn, and ultimately   daryl   was the cause of his untimely death. maggie forgave him, but it was hard to forgive himself. growing up, daryl had to learn to fend for himself, he was all he had. knowing that now all maggie had was the unborn child conceived with glenn, who was no longer here, the rugged man felt   compelled   to take care of her, to watch from a distance and make sure she was okay. it was his duty to glenn, he thought.

                        “   that baby a yours is gonna be a lil’ ass kicker too. y’know that?   ”   daryl entered the office she took   (   rightfully so   )   from gregory, plopping down in a chair before the large wooden desk.   “   ya know... if there’s anythin’ you ever need—–and not that you would—–i’m here.   can’t be easy   runnin’ the hilltop n’ also tryna take care of a tyke in this world.   ”

--- “I know but..” he sighed lowering his gaze tapping his fingers on the tabletop shifting in the seat he sat in as he just ranted his little heart and soul out to his mother about something. “It just makes me feel dumb.. I don’t like feeling dumb, people stare and -- I hate it.” he looked up making a face. “I like feeling smart, mama.”

                    hmmm  ,   this is a tough one, because it implies that   relaxed   =   in the mood   ,   which isn’t necessarily the case for eric                  that’s not to say he can’t enjoy the more    stereotypically soft    sides of foreplay , because he absolutely can , i just wouldn’t go as far as to say   THAT’S   what gets him in the mood .   that answer feels like a    b u l l s h i t    copout though, so i’ll direct you to   THIS POST   as the closest canon   ( my canon only , obviously )    representation of an    acceptable answer    .   those days spent almost   completley   secluded with aaron,   snuggled up   on the couch , being read to , drifting   in and out of sleep                  i’d say that’s a good example of eric being relaxed & in the mood .
