basically, when AoS was promised to still be part of the MCU she was THE FIRST FEMALE SUPERHERO WITH POWERS and that was just forgotten about and the amount of disrespect that Daisy gets, in general, is just sickening
she is the HEART of Agents of SHIELD, not Fitz, not Fitzsimmons, but Daisy Johnson
deserves better love interests
ummmm can we stop ignoring her trauma? thanks
the fact that people don't respect her name change, this includes major fandom blogs and it’s gross, you know if it was Fitz they would respect that
honestly, a real powerhouse and no one talks about it
remember in Glee when Mercedes complained about the fact that she was only there to sing the big final note in all their productions? that’s what its starting to feel like with Daisy but instead of singing she’s just there to use her powers
she’s outgrown Agents of SHIELD
send me a ☕️ and a topic and I’ll talk about how I feel about it lol
Daisy stares. Hunter’s dressed in a thick black uniform, and it’s only because his mask had been knocked off in the middle of the fight that she knew not to kill him. She doesn’t understand why he’s with the Watchdogs, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before she can hurt him.
“Because I know you.”
“But I don’t know you!”
Her heart sinks into her toes. “Lance…”
“Is that my name?” He blinks. “They wouldn’t tell me my name. Just what to do.”
Rage mingles with the hopelessness and fear in her chest. If Daisy hadn’t already taken down every Watchdog in this place, she would’ve punched someone. It wasn’t bad enough that the Watchdogs were targeting Inhumans and blowing up buildings - now they were memory wiping people, too?
“That’s your name.” She offers him a hand to pull him off the dirty tile floor. “I’m Daisy.” And oh, doesn’t it break her heart to have to introduce herself to the one person she thought would never forget her.
“Daisy.” He repeats it softly, reverently. “Thank you.”
“It’s no problem.” She swallows hard, looking away. “Let’s get you out of here.”
Sara, Amaya and Zari take Lily under their wings and teach her to fight so she can defend herself when she's not part of Firestorm. Martin and Jax are both grateful and worried.
“This is how to punch,” Sara says.
“This is how to kick,” Amaya says.
“This is how to fall,” Zari says.
They trade off, and Lily learns how to hit, how to take a hit, how to land and roll and dodge and flow with the motions. She jokes that at least it helps take the baby weight off, that the girls should start a class for new mothers.
“Nothing wrong with baby weight,” Sara says, and the other two agree with her.
“You created a human,” Zari says, demonstrating a choke hold on Amaya.
“A very cute human,” Amaya says, tapping out and slipping out under Zari’s loosened arm.
Lily sweats and aches, covered in bruises and no bathtub in sight to soak in. She tries to get enough sleep, and the whole team taps in to take care of Miriam so she and David can get some sleep and some alone time.
Sometimes, Lily leaves Miriam and David with her parents so she can focus. And, you know, so Miriam can age normally. Somewhat.
It’s more than just her brain that Lily is putting into overdrive. It’s her body and her heart and her soul and she loves it. She loves being Firestorm, she loves her brother and her team, but she’s tired.
(And if sometimes she just makes the team land in 2017, in 2018, so she can go to Shabbat services with her family--a family that now, along with Jax, includes Ray and Leonard and Mick and whichever other Legends feel like going that week--well, nobody faults her for that.)
“This is how to shoot a gun,” Sara says.
“This is how to counter a spell,” Amaya says.
“This is how to hack into anything,” Zari says.
So Lily learns, Lily grows, and Lily saves the world with her family at her side. Not a bad life, really.

25. “My nightmares are usually about losing you.” + Zamaya
My nightmares are usually about losing you.
--
The issue with Amaya is that she’s perhaps the most quiet person Zari’s ever known- Not so much in that she gets spoken over at those hectic things that pass for a meeting on this ship, but in the way that she moves very gracefully and without a fuss.
Zari, who has spent her life trying to make herself unseen, feels a sort of envious curiosity in how she does it- Even Zari can’t seem to understand the intricacies of Amaya’s footwork, and sometimes her own steps are far heavier than she wants them to be.
And this kind of observation has to be made, because otherwise Amaya will slip in past Zari’s defenses, like a mouse or a spider, and Zari will wake up and Amaya will be sitting on the edge of her bed, staring at her.
Which, incidentally, is not how Zari pictured getting Amaya into her bed. Not that she’s been like, hard picturing it or anything, it’s just a passing thought like oh she’s so quiet she’d probably be chill to share a bed with WHATEVER, the point is, what kind of hacker lets beautiful women slip past her defenses and onto the corner of her bed?
Not that Amaya had asked, or anything, she’s just here, and it’s probably late or maybe not, they’re sort of just floating through space-time or something but it’s dark and Zari had been sleeping, and uh, “How long have you been there?” she asks.
Amaya tilts her head, studying Zari in the dark- Maybe using cat-vision, or something? There’s something feline about her expression, wise and stoic and, as mentioned, sort of frustratingly quiet. “Not long,” she says, folding her hands into her lap. “I had a- Nightmare. I just wanted to check on you.”
Zari’s tongue is that sort of bitter-dry it always is in those first moments of wakefulness, and when she opens her mouth to speak it tastes kind like dirt. “What kind of nightmare?”
"Well,” Amaya says. “You were clearly in it.”
“Did I die?” Zari asks.
“Yes,” Amaya replies.
“Oh,” Zari says. “That’s- That’s bad, I guess. Because it’s not like a, you’ve been naked this whole time and just only now noticed kind of thing is it? Like just basic anxiety? You get visions. Right?”
“I get regular nightmares too,” Amaya says. “It can just be hard to tell them apart.”
“So that’s why you were checking up on me,” Zari says.
Amaya runs her nails over the fabric of her pajamas, always sort of impeccably crisp for no real good reason. “Yes.”
“How often do you have nightmares?” Zari asks. “About me dying?”
“I have to- I have to protect you,” Amaya says. “I can’t fail you. That’s why I have those nightmares.”
“So have you been checking on me every night?” Zari asks.
“Yes,” Amaya says.
“And are you usually at the edge of my bed?”
Amaya almost smiles at that, like she’s just a little pleased with herself. “No, I’ve stayed in the doorway every other night. But you seemed tonight like- Like you needed someone to watch over you.”
“How could you know that?” Zari says.
“Just a feeling.”
Zari feels her head sink into her pillow, something in her stomach feeling like fear mixed with anticipation. “Do you want to lay next to me?” she asks.
“Do you want me to lay next to you?” Amaya replies.
“Please do,” Zari says. “If you’re going to watch me, I mean. It’s like, less weird that way? Or is it more weird?”
Amaya lays down over the covers, her head finding the space far too close to Zari’s own. “I don’t know,” she says. “Is this weird?”
Zari can see Amaya’s face much better this close, the sort of dim greys cast over the whites in her eyes. “No,” she says, too emphatically. “It’s not weird at all.
Amaya affixes a strand of Zari’s hair behind her ear. “Go back to sleep,” she says.
“You should sleep too,” Zari offers. “Unless you think you’ll have another nightmare.”
“My nightmares are usually about losing you,” Amaya whispers, with a softness that raises goosebumps. “But you’re right here.”
“Yeah,” Zari says, her own voice taking on something delicate and needy that she hadn’t intended. Her tongue heavy in her mouth, moisture finally returning. “I’m right here.”
Amaya tucks her arm under Zari’s pillow. “Goodnight then,” she says, and closes her eyes.
“Yeah,” Zari says, with the feeling that she will stay awake and watch Amaya sleep. “Goodnight.”
I saw pics and gifs of Lisa Snart on Tumblr before I actually watched the Flash. I immediately knew I needed to know more about her because damn, she's gorgeous and it didn't take me long to succumb. Tumblr may be terrible but it has pics/gifs of Lisa Snart so one redeeming quality.
