does your muse spend a lot of time on their outfit and appearance? how long do they spend getting ready in the morning?
sherlockโs got getting ready down to a fine art. he doesnโt spend much time at all picking out an outfit and sorting his hair out. If heโs on a case time is of the essence, so heโs learnt to do it all at speed over the years. However, if heโs going somewhere in disguise he will take a bit more time, depending on what disguise heโs using
does your muse consider the way they dress to be trendy? would other people agree
he considers himself well-dressed and would like to think that others agree. if he gets a compliment on his outfit then itโs all the better
how often do they buy new clothes? are they the type to keep a outfit for years or replace it after one wear?
he doesnโt often by himself new clothes to wear day to day. sherlockโs definitely the sort to wear something over and over until it looks too raggedy. he does however frequent pick up items that he can use in disguises
is your muse the type to accessorize? how much?
he does enjoy to accessorise, albeit itโs mostly small items. heโll always have a watch on him; a wristwatch if heโs dressed more casually or heโll wear his pocket watch if heโs in a three piece suit. if heโs in a button down shirt heโll wear a nice pair of cufflinks
how much time do they spend on skin care/makeup/grooming?
again, not a lot of time because heโs often rushing out the door. but he is fastidious in his grooming habits,ย โcatlikeโ even, as watson once described it
if money and societal expectations were not a concern would your muse dress differently than they currently do? if so, how?
heโs never cared much for societal expectations and thatโs something that hasnโt changed
would your muse wear the same outfit two days in a row if they knew they wouldnโt run into any of the same people?
if he was in disguise on a case, certainly, or if he had been out all night (also on a case). however, if heโs in a lull between cases and not leaving his apartment then heโs likely to just mope around in his pjs and dressing gown
have they started dressing differently since arriving in washington? was the transition difficult? do they prefer the clothes here or back home?
heโs always been easily adaptable so it wasnโt a difficult transition. he is dressing differently now, as the style of fashion is very different from the 1890s. he does enjoy the variety offered in modern clothing, but he does miss his finely tailored victorian suits
