Went to a movie quiz in the crypt of the main church in the city today and our team of three ladies won first prize! We got 117 points, second place got 79! It was a lot of fun and we worked really well together, I hope I can make the next one next year :) My friend made team hats, our team name was Quiztopher Walken - she's awesome and very creative!
Went to a tapas bar in the former waiting hall of a train station today with my best friend, her daughter and sister. Had amazing food and sang a ton of karaoke π It was so much fun, I didn't know I missed that until I was there!
I gained a new fan, an older guy who asked me to sing a song with him and later asked me to dance, like proper ballroom dancing, lol.
Also, I really love this restaurant, it's so comfortable, with the mismatched vintage chairs and cool chandeliers. And the food was really good!
It was a very good haul! Apparently forgot to buy the bias tape I thought I'd grabbed, but no matter, I'll get it another time :) I didn't find all the fabrics I had shortlisted, but that's more than alright. Also, the ladies loved my inspiration journal, called me a nerd but in an awestruck way :P Then asked to take photos of it for their inspiration pinboard at work. One if them was more interested in the Hawkeye photos than the fashion, though ππ And honestly, I can't even blame her.
My friend and I had a great time, and she already offered to take me again, though I think I'm all shopped out for a bit! We went to a shopping mall after we left the shop, but there were too many people there being idiots for my liking. Now I need a nap to get over all the excitement π
Guys, I made seriously awesome dinner! Chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella, wrapped in Parma ham and sage - pan broiled gnocchi and green asparagus - sauce made with ajvar, parmigian and creme fraiche. And the best thing is that there's enough left over for tomorrow πβΊοΈ

Spent a really fun day with two of my sewing class friends and it was a lot of fun, but holy shit are these days bad for my bank account π It's all good, I didn't have much chance to spend a lot these past three months after all and I've got fabric for months now.
Finally also gonna meet my family again tomorrow, first time since Easter! I love public holidays on Thursdays, a really long weekend with just one vacation day π
Had a very good weekend, spent yesterday with my best friend and her daughter baking cookies and later on I made a few bags as Christmas gifts :) All have a different color combination of bottom and straps, but used the leftover fabric from the toiletry bags I made for my dad and brother. And I used old pillowcases as lining, because it felt better than throwing them away and they fit perfectly into the color scheme.
Today I picked out cookie recipes of my own, checked my pantry for things I have and threw out long past their best before date items. I won't have to buy a lot and can make all the good things next weekend.
Felt like sind something nice for my colleagues and brought some Dunkin Donuts to work today. We shared them, and enjoyed them, yet also all agreed that they were too sweet and the strawberry glaze tastes very artificial. Still, good deed of the week is done ;P
Immediately destroyed all my positive karma points again when an old man walked up to me tonight as I was having dinner out and asked if he could sit next to me. (there were plenty of free tables, just FYI)
I told him that sure, he's welcome to sit down, as long as he doesn't expect me to have a conversation with him as I'm busy (I was texting with my colleague and listening to a podcast) and really didn't feel like talking with a stranger who I had only smiled at politely when he greeted me...
So okay, maybe I actually earned karma points because I've asserted myself. He walked off and & I got to eat in peace :)
