Last mudra of the month ends with our personal favorite! 💛💛💛💛💛💛🐚💛💛💛💛💛💛 Shankh Mudra (Shell Mudra) 🐚🐚🐚 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️🐚〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️Affirmation: "I use thoughts and words of strength and love, and everything I think and speak comes back to me." 💛 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️🐚〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ Instructions: Encircle your left thumb with the four fingers of your right hand. At the same time, touch the right thumb to the extended middle finger of your left hand. Together, the two hands look like a conch shell. Hold your hands in front of your sternum (not pictured). Do this as often and as long as you want. Or use it three times daily for 15 minutes as a course of treatment. When you want to practice this mudra, you can fist sing "OM" several times. Then listen within yourself, to the silence, for several minutes afterward. 〰️〰️〰️〰️ Benefits: Soothes problems in the throat. The throat is often associated with sadness and loss in the Eastern world. It has a calming effect. It allows you to connect yourself in love, which in turn enables you to receive the help you need and the confidence/security you require. 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ Why we love it: This mudra is used often during rituals in Hindu temples to announce the opening of the temple. Also, 🐚 = 💦 = 💛 = Life. We love the idea of singing into the shell and allowing the silence that responds to provide everything that we need in life. The affirmation says it all! 〰️〰️〰️〰️ Note: The shell is visible to you and held close to your chest (sternum). We did not photograph it properly as we wanted you to see the shell and the positioning of the fingers. However, when you practice, you will see the shell as it will be held close to your upper chest area. Enjoy!
