Voyager's Cataloging module has a nice option for shelflisting. Instead of doing a Find search on a call number, you can Browse. (The option is in plain sight, but took me a while to notice!)
As you are assigning a call number (say, using Classification Web and the Cutter table) you can 'browse' on that call number to see how it would fit into your existing collection, adjusting the cutter accordingly. The arrows on the right let you scroll up and down through the shelf-list, displaying titles with nearby call numbers.
A 'find' search for that call number only brings up titles whose call numbers actually start with your search term, which is a less flexible result.
