I haven't posted about Petro and Miete's relationship before have I? That's a little surprising considering how much I think about them-

Miete senses something off about him instantly but doesn't know enough about him to do anything until Alux's disappearance. Petro IMMEDIATELY knows who she is due to Wisp just telling him (she was a major help to the Guardian,of course the angel has a grudge against her)
She was watching when he defended the angel to Alux
He knew she was.
They start off passive aggressive and slowly move to aggressive-aggresive as the series continues, especially when Petro starts antagonizing Azzy (y'know,the only person she has left?)
And the room confrontation. Oh man.
Miete returns to her quarters one night only to find Petro there waiting for her (this is close to episode nine,maybe a couple nights away or so)
She draws her spear on him obviously but he insists he's just there to talk
Typical lying he does that he's "innocent" and "feels like he's being falsely accused". Miete does try to hear him out,but in the end she just doesn't trust him and tells him so. And until they find Prince Alux (he's still alive. He has to be.) and Alux can tell them the truth,she cannot and will not trust Petro. Petro innocently suggests that perhaps Azrial isn't who he seems to be. Miete shuts that shit down instantly. Petro,irritated that the trickery didn't work at all,goes to leave.
But right at the door,he pauses.
"You really care for him,don't you?"
"...of course I do. It's my duty to protect him. ...it would be wise of you to stop antagonizing him. I won't hold back if you hurt him."
"...hm. Fine. Keep clinging to your precious advisor 🙄"
"Watch it-"
He's almost through the door when he pauses again.
"...But I wonder what he'll think when he finds out what you're really like."
A glance over his shoulder back at her
"Magic user."
Petro shuts the door behind him. Her spear clatters to the floor.
How could he have known?
How could he possibly know?
......what would he think...?
Miete didn't sleep well that night.
