The suggested camping trip was given an enthusiastic âhell yesâ from the petite blonde, no qualms whatsoever. After all, they both needed a little peace and quiet with the usual chaos that surrounded Arcadiaâs life. It wasnât easy being the girlfriend of a supernatural creature, Arcadia knew that, but Shay put up with so much that the wolf felt she deserved this.Â
With her back propped up against the rough bark of a pine tree, the wolf spread her legs just enough for Shay to tuck herself in between, strong arms enclosing around her waist. Soft lips trailed over the exposed skin at the blondeâs shoulder, the tip of her nose grazing by the blondeâs pulse point as head lifted just enough to rasp against her earlobe, âIs this warm enough for you?â

Giving Shay a pointed look, Arcadia sat down upon the edge of the bed, fresh from the shower. âWellâŚAs long as you tried. But it looks like you might need some help getting out. Here, let me justâŚâ Pulling the covers up, she stood momentarily, discarding of the wet towel from around her body before sliding under them. Tucking herself to the blondeâs side, she gazed down into icy blues, shrugging, âOops. Looks like I got sucked in a well. We might as well make the best of this situation hm?â

Shaydia is my first 55. Â Yes, it has taken me this long. Â She looks thrilled, doesn't she? Â This seemed to be her stock expression for Makeb. Â She was not impressed by much.
Agent on Quesh. Â References events in my smuggler's story here. Â Spoilers for Agent class quests.
-----------------------------
The splash of something heavy breaking through what was probably one of the cursed hidden, toxic sinkholes on Quesh drew Shaydiaâs attention away from mentally tracing the path of the dimalium-6 thorough her veins. She knew full well she wasnât actually feeling the serum move through her body, but a morbid part of her wanted to think she could. Vector was still shooting her worried looks. The fact that she had unhesitatingly injected herself with an unmarked chemical had clearly upset him. He wasnât asking questions though. Heâd either learned from experience that she couldnât answer, or Lokin had suggested a possible reason for her reluctance. Shaydia was sure Lokin had his suspicions. He was a Fixer after all. He knew better than she what Intelligence was capable of.
A panicked voice rose over the splashing and Shaydia abruptly realized that someone had fallen into a hole. She and Vector rushed in the direction of the noise, skidding to a halt when they saw the scruffy blonde frantically looking for something long enough to hand to the armored figure sinking into the sludge.
âRepublic,â Vector murmured.
âYes,â Shaydia agreed. Without any other hesitation, she approached, âWhat happened? Can we help?â
âDo you have a rope or something?â Pale eyes fastened on Shaydiaâs face, âAnything long enough for him to grab?â
Shaydia pursed her lips, but Vector was already moving. He pulled his electrostaff off his back and stretched it out over the pit to the grasping hands. Shaydia saw the muscles of his torso tighten as he threw all of his enhanced Joiner strength into pulling the man out of the pit. The armored figure came free and Vector dropped to his knees, winded.
The other woman rushed over, âCorso, are you okay?â
âIâm fine, captain,â the manâs voice was tired, but there was no uncertainty in it.
Turning to Shaydia, the woman held out her hand, âThank you.  IâŚI donât know what I would have done if you two hadnât shown up.â
It was only years of Intelligence training that kept Shaydiaâs face neutral when old memories placed the womanâs eyes. She took the outstretched hand, âIâm glad we were close enough to help. He probably needs to see a medic fairly soon. The sludge on this planet can get through anything.â
The man was pushing himself to his feet, âI donât need a medic. Letâs go.â Shaydia saw his helmet turn slightly to Vector and she realized he had recognized him as a Joiner.
The woman noticed too, but she cocked her head curiously, âIâve never seen a Joiner off of Alderaan, and you seem a lot more independent than the ones I ran into there.â
Vector nodded and bowed, âWe are Dawn Herald. We are not like other Joiners. We have much more autonomy.â
âI see,â her eyes were thoughtful, âWell, thank you again for helping us. Come on, Corso. We have work to do still.â
As they disappeared, Vector turned to Shaydia, âYour aura is brighter. Do you know her?â
âI do,â Shaydia said quietly. She looked up at Vector, âThatâs my baby sister. I didnât even know she had survived. Mother hid her in a crate when our transport was attacked. They scuttled the ship. I thought she died. It makes me wonderâŚâ
 âIf the rest survived?â
She shrugged, âI know one did, at least for a while.  She was Force sensitive and Iâm sure the Sith took her to train. I have a hard time imagining her as Sith though I know they could twist anyone,â she shook herself, âLetâs get back to the ship. Iâm sure weâre going to be given another mission soon.â
There were no messages yet when they reached the Phantom, so Shaydia decided to return to Dromund Kaas. She made her way to Intelligence headquarters. She had every intention of looking for her family now. She realized that her previous worries about Intelligence finding out about them were ridiculous.  Of course Intelligence knew who they were. And the best way to find them without having her search traced was to search from headquarters where one more search would be unlikely to draw attention.  They could be flagged, of course, but Shaydia doubted it.
In less than an hour she had found files on every single sibling, and her parents though she knew for a fact they were dead, and she had loaded them all onto a dataspike. Â She returned to the ship excited, and happier than sheâd been for weeks. Â Vector smiled at her when she almost danced into the room where he was reading a datapad, âYou seem happy, Agent.â
âI found them, Vector. I found them all.  Maybe Iâll never see them, but I know they are all alive and well.â
âWe are pleased to hear it. Â And you never know,â he said, âmaybe you will have the opportunity to see them again.â
âAnythingâs possible, I suppose,â Shaydia replied with a smile, âYouâre right. I wonât give up hope.â
