He had lost himself somewhere in the empty growls of his stomach. Standing utterly transfixed before the shop window. Humans diverting around him as though he is a stone in the way of the river’s flow. Cities are dangerous but sometimes necessary. He is in desperate need of new clothes, the ones currently covering him are worn beyond repair. And yet he’d found himself stuck here. Watching the butcher cut and carve the fresh meat, that is exchanged for human money. Cities have no place for him to hunt, and digging through the mortal’s trash always leaves him hungry.
The voice infiltrates his existence like a battering ram and the halfbreed noticeably jumps. Gaze and head snapping towards the sound,as his body instinctively moved away from it. Gold cracking across dark blue eyes like lightening, as a small canine like yip of surprise escapes. His response automatic, breathy and broken.
