Sharon Au started her successful career as compere and actress in Mediacorp. She left to take up a scholarship at the University of Waseda in Tokyo, where she read International Relations and Law. After graduating at the top of her faculty, Sharon returned to a new role at MediaCorp assuming new responsibilities in Mediacorp's first fashion community portal.
