The Dark Verse, Vol. 3 by Sharkchild
This last March I had the pleasure of going down to WonderCon in Anaheim. The con was a lot of fun and filled with a lot of amazing artists. By far my favorite find of the weekend was a pair of horror anthologies called 'The Dark Verse'.
My wife and I bought Vol. 1 on the spot. As soon as I got home I cracked it open and devoured it. I quickly ordered Vol. 2 and couldn't put it down either. I loved them both.
The stories in the Dark Verse books is in the cosmic horror vein. Sort of a hybrid of H.P. Lovecraft with some Clive Barker sprinkled in. Some of the most original horror that I have read recently. And now I want to read more.
The author, Sharkchild, has started a Kickstarter campaign to get Vol. 3 out to print. I believe that the new volume is currently at 38% funded with just over two weeks to go.

Today I received my signed editions of Volume I and Volume II of The Dark Verse, by an author who goes by the pen name Sharkchild. These books do not only contain really good and creepy horror stories; they look incredible as well! The fantastic artwork by J.F. Stifter fits perfectly with the Lovecraftian themes of the short stories.
