Our students really came through on the Sharing Science assignment! I'm reposting a few of my faves :) #Repost @sharingscience with @repostapp. ・・・ After weeks of hard work... We finally got some results! In this experiment, we wanted to see the effect of different mutations in bacterial promoters on the expression of red fluorescent protein in our E. coli cells. We analyzed our results by looking at our plated cells containing synthetic Biobrick plasmids (which are Lego-like engineered plasmids with an insert of interest). Although the results weren't what we expected... That's science! #WomenInSTEM #SyntheticBiology #StartedFromTheBottom #ThisExperimentIsStillThere #TalkNerdyToMe #ILookLikeAScientist #sciencecommunication #scicomm #biology #science #sharingscience
