The mission you have been involved in was, as always, easy to handle. Together you are unstoppable, force and wild power. Something that doesn’t even need to resonate. But clasping your hand together while taking down the enemy felt better. Sylus loves this, loves to see you savage. Loves to work with you and take you home. Yeah, your home. That incredible big base he built for the two of you. You have invaded every corner of his life, conquered his heart once more... Sylus is so utterly in love with you, that sometimes he could even believe he would die from it. Between cozy evenings on the terrace, having you in his lap while you talk about all the things you love, and playing video games with Luke, Kieran, and Mephisto, his life has turned into something to hold on to.

After passion takes over, and he tangles himself between your legs, kissing every mark on your body. He doesn’t have enough. It’s not his bedtime but he still wants to share the warmth with you.

“Sy—” he hears a distant voice, then a sweet kiss on his cheek. “I’m going to work.”

“Hmm…” still with his eyes closed.

“So cute...” He hears you giggle. You were about to stand up but he grabbed your wrist.

“Stay a bit longer.”

“I can’t. I’ll be back later. Okay?”

Your hand feels something hard near the pillow. “Why are you still sleeping with a gun here?”

“Just in case.”

“Sylus…”

“My love, we have talked about this,” he said sleepily.

“Okay...” You kiss him again. “I need to go.”

“Just 5 minutes.”

You smiled, shaking your head, brushing your fingers through his hair. “Five minutes would turn into an hour.”

“And? What’s an hour compared to eternity?” His lips curved into that lazy smirk, even half-asleep.

You sighed, pretending to be annoyed, but your heart betrayed you, beating faster as his hand slid from your wrist to your waist, tugging you back down onto the bed.

“Sylus…”

“Shh,” he murmured, pressing his forehead against your chest, breathing you in like you were the only air he ever needed. “Just… let me hear your heartbeat.”

Your resolve melted, as it always did with him. The warmth of his body, the quietness of the room, the weight of his love, it was all too much to resist. You let yourself sink back into his embrace, your hands tracing lazy circles on his back.

Minutes blurred.

Finally, you whispered, “I really have to go…” but even then, your voice lacked conviction.

He opened his eyes at last, red irises glinting with something soft, vulnerable. “You should get a new job.

You laughed, kissed his lips quickly, and stood before he could pull you in again.

“I’m taking this as my lucky charm for today.” You grabbed the weapon and locked it into your empty holster.

Sylus’s eyes opened a little wider, his smirk sharpening. “That’s mine.”

“Not anymore,” you teased, leaning down to kiss him quickly. “Love you.”

He caught your chin before you could pull away, deepening the kiss with passion, enough to make your knees weak. When he finally let go, his voice was a low murmur against your lips.
