OHP: Share♥ Session No. 1
OHP: Share♥ Session No. 1 Yesterday, we had the pleasure of spending the day with Paws and Stripes for Session No. 1 of the Share♥ Project.
Paws and Stripes is an amazing organization that provides service dogs for military veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.
In this case, Paws and Stripes has an established website. What they didn't have was an easy way to show what they do on a regular basis. We needed to create a way to keep content fresh. We set them up with a platform to share events, videos, fundraising efforts and just how cool they are (because they really are pretty cool).
As for social networks, they had their facebook set up and they were using it very well, and they had a Twitter, but rarely used it. We set them up with Hootsuite, and now they can post to up to 5 networks all at the same time.
Google Analytics was added to their Tumblr platform and will be added to their current website so that they can track where viewers are coming from and how they navigate.
We showed them how to make short links that will be tracked to see how many people are clicking through and where they came from.
We also made recommendations on the kinds of posts to add to each social network.
As for their new Share♥ platform, we created a site that can be updated from their iPhone, Android, iPads and any computer. The site boasts SEO and sharing capabilities. It has share to facebook, twitter, etc buttons. It also has easy to customize features and templates. We chose one yesterday, but I know that Paws and Stripes will be browsing the options and it will change.
We laughed, a lot.
