maybe found a bug, not sure, the pink stars are supposed to be lives right? if not ignore this from here. So i got some of the pink stars throughout the level, and they appeared on the side of the screen, but it still only said i had one life? and even though i had 4 stars, i died on the next hit and had to continue. If this is normal and the stars are actually something else thats cool ok great just saying in case thats not supposed to happen
yeah that’s normal; the stars are actually life/bomb (pink and green respectively) pieces, not full lives. You need 5 of them to get an actual life/bomb. There are going to be whole life/bombs that some midbosses drop though; the square the stage 2 midboss drops if you clear their spellcard is a full bomb, for example
I’m not sure why it happens, but there’s a bug that happens sometimes where you have 5 pieces but the number display doesn’t go up until you get another one. The game will still recognize you have the extra life, though, so that’s not as much of a problem

Ok, so this blog would be kinda silly with nothing but random ask answers, so i'll try to do an update of some sort every dayy
I finally got a High Score system in chatanmaku 2 working, so an update should be coming soon after that. I'll make some songs after that, and i might even play around with dialogue. Writing's not exactly one of my strong points, though, so don't expect much;;
Also, the Ludum Dare competition is coming up this weekend, so i'll likely be focusing on that. I'm participating in a group with Shammy and Hob; if you want, our development blog is here.
