Ask a Self Insert

🗑️ - give a scrapped idea for your s/i, be it an old verse or an iteration of the one you have now. 

In the very first version of my story “Playing the Game”, Sage entered the fictional world via a VR set for a video game. Before starting the game there was a “choose your fighter” option, and Sage went with “android”.

That version of the story didn’t last too long- only 30 pages- but that bit stuck with me. Now, there’s a version of Sage who is running around as a cyborg (though she’s referred to as an Android because that’s how the series refers to these people /shrug) .

🔦 - how curious is your s/i ? have they ever gone exploring where they shouldn’t? are they the type to hold steady or cling to someone’s side? 

Sage tries her best to hold steady on her own to a fault.

Bleach is weird but Bleach is fun, i know its a popular series so some people don’t like it for that but it’s a fun time even if it is a cliche shonen anime series.

Honestly the moment she introduced herself I was entranced. I didn’t realize i had proper feelings until the next time I watched the movie, but that was the point where I knew I had a crush. Honestly I just love how nurturing and caring she is and at the same time she doesn’t take bullshit from anyone and the way she would protect those she loves. Her birdlike mannerism in the movie are just the absolute best. She’s also a bit weird which I like cause I’m a bit weird too and the whole thing of her having a place where outcasts fit and where she accepts those who are different is is awesome because I’ve always felt like an outcast and a weirdo. And lastly she’s literally the most gorgeous person.

Bonus: I love the line in the movie where she casually admits to murder, it’s just so funny even if it’s a bit problematic

5. Does your insert have any magical talents or otherwise special abilities?

Yes! Camus is an ability user, and his ability is The Plague. It’s been awhile since I talked about him so people might not know him if they’re new but Camus is my BSD s/i and so he has an ability based on The Plague by Albert Camus. It allows him to basically mutate his limbs into large claws and fight with them, it’s hard to explain and easier to show.

6. Do they fight? 

Oh this is an infatuation that goes back 10 whole years. When I was a pre-teen I would watch anime on Toonami and apparently I was just madly in love with Szayel back then. I have vague memories of looking up fanart for him (which was wild to rediscover now) and put pictures of him in my school binder because I was 12 and that’s what you did back then.

Fast forward to this year and my dear friend Mary said this
