shakingtheworld replied to your post:I GOT THE CHILDCARE TEACHER JOB! it wasn’t that...
oohh!! Congratulations! But how’s the working hours? Is it M-F only?
it's a 44 hour work week but still M-F except that 4 days are 9 hours work day while 1 day is 8 hours since the centre is not open on saturdays.
the principal believes that everyone should have a life during weekends so yeah.
shakingtheworld SAID: $10/HR!? OH MY! HOPE YOU GET IT! (I WANNA APPLY TOO IF THE PAY IS THAT HIGH!)
shakingtheworld replied to your post “all1sees replied to your post: ok i’m done job hunting for the day...”
The pay is better than my job of $5/hr! >_<!!
$10/hr is the rate of relief teaching at NTUC First Campus (run by government) so it's the minimum pay I'm demanding since I define it as market rate. But my lowest is $8/hr since I technically haven't received my diploma yet as I'm waiting for 6th sem results. it was also the pay I received when working part-time during my holidays last year.
so uh, the pay can be only this high due to my diploma in early childhood education.
but your job pays really low?! i mean there are other jobs that doesn't need much qualifications which can pay up to $6-7/hr which I saw when I was browsing through PT/temp jobs,
shakingtheworld replied to your post:Oh! I also wanted to apply at Kinokuniya but too shy to go for their interview. How was it? Can you tell some details? Good luck for the university interview! IIRC, there are other poly who also has Early Childhood courses so it's very competitive
tell the story! it’s always so wonderful to hear your stories, even though it’s just ramblings…
yeah i'm going to use it as my strength.
i'll just make sure i get my point across well and not ramble during the interview.
but i think it should be fine since I wrote so many essays on that story already!
shakingtheworld replied to your post:looking for a part-time or temporary job while...
Super good luck! My god, your life is so stressful right now
my mum hasn't booked the tour yet but hopefully she does soon.
most likely going to Tokyo in mid-Apri because Good Friday holiday means that my mum doesn't need to forgo teaching piano.
ahaha now I'm stressed about looking for a job plus uni applications, especially the interview in 3 weeks time plus final semester results.
it's a good kind of stressed? at least it's better than doing internship project...

shakingtheworld replied to your post:trikkustaa replied to your post:SIT requires...
Damn, university applications is more of a headache than poly :/ I really wish you luck
Actually it's just SIT which is so headache-inducing as it requires extra documents for specific courses. NUS and NTU applications (in fact I already finished my BA in Education app this morning) are alright unless one is going for discretionary admission.
But yeah it's way harder than poly admission. Still, it can't get harder than uni itself... if I can get in, that is.
shakingtheworld replied to your post “project presentation is over and so is poly life oh yeah now to worry...”
Waahhh!! Super congratulations!! I really hope the best for you! You deserve it for working hard these past three years!!
Thanks! I'm just worried that my final report ends up crappy because I had a very bad cold on Friday-Saturday and was exhausted on Sunday so I didn't have much time to perfect it but at least I recovered in time for presentation.
I hope I did work hard for the last 3 years. Even though I think I did, my parents are not exactly convinced since I keep slacking on tumblr ahahaha
shakingtheworld replied to your photoset:I FINISHED MY FINAL YEAR PROJECT AND RECOVERED...
congratulations!!
thank you! it feels so weird graduating soon considering when I first started here I was still in Year 1. time sure passes really quickly...
