After one too many microaggressions at work this week, I just came home defeated. I scrolled thru twitter and was like yessss, black people! And I was grateful for a place where people I know personally who may not even say their ideas felt free to be themselves. We are so constricted in our workplaces, public space, daily lives, that we really turn to the internet to let loose sometimes and just “kick it” with some folks. Though I think we could do better with engagement versus passive watching, it is still a good refuge sometimes when you’ve felt misunderstood by almost every other human you encountered that day. Be kind to each other but more importantly yourself! We’re on to a new month, less getttittt #shakingoffthebs #lovenae (at Flatbush, Brooklyn)
