I just cut my hair short and I was in age where girls start to grow breasts, and so my mom brought me to a store with underwear and I stood near the girls section and watched it too embarrassed to pick out anything, and then a woman walked up to me put a hand on my shoulder and said “Excuse me boy, it’s a girl underwear.” I looked at her peeved, because I was fed up with all the comments and misgenders at the moment (people in school misgendered me despite knowing my face for 3 years it was a small school - if someone misgendered me, people laughed around me saying that I am a girl and I was just there like kill me I am in center of attention)

“I know” I said and left to find my mom who called me by my name.

In Polish we don’t have neutral pronouns, if we did I think I would use them and ask people around me to use them, but since my language doesn’t allow it I use she/her, we also don’t have gender neutral names, so hearing my name called the woman flustered and went away to laugh it off with her friend
