Y’all probably know what this is a reference to. ;)

Featuring a character from a darker Fangbone story I was cooking up back in 2017: A villainous shadowstepper named Blackblood.

"Oh. I could ask Dad's tailor to make you some more stuff...and to get Dad to pay for it somehow if you don't have any money." Novus offered. 'It just can't be billions and billions of gil is all cause we gotta have money for other stuff. Want me to go an' ask him for you? I don't think he's busy. Maybe. But it might take a bit to get an answer if you don't mind waiting for one. Is that okay?"

"Whaddya mean? Do you get bad sunburn or something?" Novus inquired as he wandered over canting his head in slight confusion. "We probably got sunblock stuff around somewhere. I can always ask Mom if she knows where it is if I can't find it." Maybe Ardyn just didn't like the sun? Some adults were like that too. "Or...maybe we can hang out in the shade. Yeah! We can put up a whole bunch of umbrellas and do games and stuff like that under 'em. You wanna try?"

That was a question that Aera had to think for a moment on. She loved her Ardyn. She loved how gentle he was with her and how he did whatever she wished without question but she understood the question and why he had asked it.

"I wish our lives had not ended up as they did all of those years ago. I wish that the crystal and Bahamut had never been involved and I wish that we could have lived out our mortal lives with one another." She began softly, reaching for his hand.

Aera gently kissed the back of his fingers, sighing. "But no, my love. I do not wish you were different. If you were different, I would not love you as much as I do."

A smile blossomed on the Prince’s face as he spoke remembering last year’s party. “Can you come Uncle Ardyn?” Azure orbs widened ever so slightly hoping that would sway the man’s decision. “Please?”
