Anyway I’ve been working a lot on Dreamwhere lately and decided to get back to making/updating references for the characters. So here’s one I did as a sort of warm-up since the design is really simple.

I switched from shards to kin forms/kintypes and common forms/morphtypes cuz us alters are called shards as well as alters.

But it still feels.. wonky. Should I even differentiate between kin forms and common forms cuz they're all me just in different ways? Why does it matter so much to me what I call them?

I feel like if I lump them all in one category it'll be too many (even tho that ain't true). But I can't seem to separate them into completely separate categories either...

Guys I finally figured out what my symbol looks like

So, my hearttypes are crows, cardinals and snakes.

I'm spiritually cardinalhearted. It's my family's belief that cardinals are our dead loved ones visiting us and/or are signs of good things to come. And this hearttype is directly connected to that. I am not a cardinal but cardinals are of my family.

And crows. My daemon is a crow, crows are my brethren, I love them. This is part spiritual/part psychological. I have a crow personality and stereotypical crow behaviors (psychological), but they are also my family and a crow is my fylgja/daemon (spiritual). I wouldn't be who I am without them.

And last but not least: snakes. This one is confusing for a few reasons. Not only do I have a snake theriotype/shard, but I am also snakespirited, have a snake personality and hold snake symbolism. Now, my theriotype/shard is a western hognose snake, one specific snake species, however my other snake attributes are about snakes overall, not just one species. My spirit is of a snake (snakespirited), but I am also a snake (snake therian) if that makes sense. I don't really know how to describe my personality being of a snake, but if you look up "snake personality traits" you pretty much get me (or at least us, the blanket self). And me holding snake symbolism, is interconnected to my vargr/wolf deity 'type/shard. As a vargr/wolf deity I am a guardian, a reaper, a healer, a death prophet, a guide, and much more. Those are all connected to snake symbolism. I am a snake in more ways than one.
