I really want to like Yangâs Superman but the collections are completely fucked.  I am in the middle of reading Book 2 and they refer to another book called âSavage Dawn.â  So I get that and read it (itâs bad) and then back to Book 2.  Surprise, they reference events that werenât in the Savage Dawn book, even though the recaps say âPreviously in Savage Dawn,â while some pages repeat in both books  Get your shit together, DC, this is the kind of garbage that turns normal people off comics.
If you havenât read American Born Chinese, Boxers and Saints, or The Shadow Hero, read those instead. Â
Shadow Hero, The Dark Defender
Name: Shadow Hero Gender: Agender Age: 19 Birthday: September 9 Zodiac: Virgo Home Country: The Philippines Entrance Theme: Nameless Hero Ace Card(s): Destiny End Dragoon, Masked HERO Dark Law Face/Heel: Neutral (Face Leaning) Tag Team: N/A Appearance: Shadow Hero is a figure who tries to stay out of the spotlight. They stands at an average 5â6â and wear dark, functional clothing. Atop their head, they sport a jet black metal falcon-shaped helmet, complete with a slightly black tinted visor and a bright red flowing scarf around their neck. The visible parts of their face are tanned from life in the mountains and their dark purple eyes are hard with purpose, with a few strands of their bright pink hair hanging in front of them. Their fists are covered with black leather fingerless gloves and a black tattered cape billows out behind him. Their Duel Disk is matte black with silver trimming. Personality: Shadow Hero is not a hero by choice. Having witnessed a world of horrors around them, they knew they had no choice but to make a difference. However, they quickly learned that being a hero was harder than it first seemed and their morals changed. They will defeat evil. At any cost. They are harsh and almost cruel in fighting their opponents, evil or not.

Our favorite things this week include "Strong Language and The Shadow Hero:Â "The Green Turtle had no obvious superpowers and only lasted for five issues, but Yang and Liew work from the rumor that Hing drew The Green Turtle with his face obscured to hide the Chinese ethnicity he imagined for the hero, one his publishers wouldnât go with. That âwhat ifâ possibility is the starting point for The Shadow Hero."
