I think most of the Fredericks could live fairly comfortable lives once all is said and done. The main issue is the overlapping voices and perspectives in their heads, right?

Shadow Fred is pretty overly hostile, and kind of needs to be put down.

The Face Taker is definitely a case of it being in everyone’s best interest to kill him.

Toxic Fred is problematic on multiple fronts: not only is he pretty openly murderous, but he’s made a bunch more paint offshoots… contributing even FURTHER to the sensory overload problem without even realizing it! Killing him isn’t one less perspective for every other Fred to deal with, it’s about eight less perspectives!

Tumor Fred is very willing to die. And his POV is one of endless agony which is definitely contributing to the distress of the others. I think he might be the main reason it’s so unpleasant for the Freds to be sharing brains, actually.

This leaves us with only the perspectives of the original Fred, Wriggly, Scared, Godhead, Bright, and Bites left. These ones are all mentally stable (admittedly, to varying degrees, but none of them are insane) and not in much physical distress.

They could prooooobably make that work?

What they really need is group therapy.
