Honestly, Vera didn't even try to run away... I know it's pointless against Asmodeus but she's still powerful and she didn't try anything. She let him killed her. Maybe she was too confident, people don't care but I find this scene weird.

Is she powerful? She performed the channeling, but Vera herself said that Asmodeus would only answer if he wanted to. Asmodeus was always in control. He kept their connection open once the channeling was done and took over her body.

Vera wasn’t a person in that last scene. She was a human puppet.
