REA GO OFF ABOUT THE SMUT FICS. As someone who falls on the ace spectrum I can not stand the fact that smut fics are so popular and there appears to be so much more of them. To each their own, however I think there has been an increase of smut fics in recent months and I’m not sure how I feel about it.
Yeah, I've thought about that as well, and I really wish that it would not be that case. Because, yes, smut fics are amazing and can be written in brilliant ways, but so are angst fics and fluff and gen and hurt/comfort, etc. I've read many fics that are not 18+ that are absolutely fantastic and I cannot understand the disparity in notes towards those fics.
It's like a fruit bowl (bear with me for a sec💀), you need to have apple, oranges and bananas in that bowl! And bananas are good, they're tasty, they're superb pieces of fruits, but if my fruit bowl is just bananas after a while? Like I would be craving other fruits if all I can get are bananas. (Gosh I hope that made sense lmaoo)
