Did you think I'd forgotten about my album recommendation thingy? Well, I didn't... So here we go! The album I'm recommending this week is Metallica's S&M. This is an album where the band played a live concert with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra was conducted by legendary film composer Michael Kamen and the point of it all was "What if Metallica played their songs while being backed up by an orchestra?". And for the most part it sounds great. The use of an orchestra could often just be a shitty gimmick, but in this case it turned out pretty fucking great. #Metallica #SFSO #MichaelKamen #SM #Music
