so first off, before we get into past stuff, i must say im kinda disappointed by Bayor’s appearance. Maybe its something about being an enovy but id imagine if ode need ichor in the air and water to live, id imagine he’d encounter it a lot working for them?? anyway, i like to imagine ichor does affect envoy’s, maybe not full on corruption from “second hand” exposure but more slow tainting and…staining? Yeah lungs and veins look fucked up. Skin and flesh get stained. So that’s why my envoy before looks like that and why i headcanon Bayor puts on a lot of foundation every morn.

anyway i havent really got much on what happens to envoy (i havent named him yet btw jdhfd) right after he gets yoinked by Bayor as a kiddo. But id imagine, after a point, he’s so brainwashed/engrained in whatever training he got under the spellsong, he eventually didn’t need to be under spellsong. His past with Grandfa is a distant smog at best, and all he knows is the Ode. By the time he’s a young adult, id think he’d be almost on par with Bayor, working alongside him. Not really knowing any better and not exactly having good role models, envoy ends up pretty sadistic and incredibly unserious. Not in a funny ahha (tho he is very snarky and obnoxious to anyone under him and Bayor) but more like,,, doesn’t understand or care to understand the gravity of what he and the ode are doing. In fact, he enjoys the violence he inflicts. Nothing quite feels real or of consequence. He abhors/fears being weak, and any suffering that he endures out of his control or the rare internal conflict about his horrid actions, he works incredibly hard to deceive himself to think that he enjoys it or it was a beneficial thing. last thing he wants to admit is that he’s in pain or unable to do something.
