Making Pillows for My Daughterâs Room
I just love having a sewing project to do. Â Right now Iâm working on redecorating my daughterâs room, and Iâve decided to make some flowery decorative pillows for her bunk bed. Â The color palette is shades of purple, ranging from a dark purple to a lighter lilac color, with a light springy green, and a pale pink. Â I found some fun wall decals on Amazon that have a variety of flowers matching her rooms colors. Â We put these in a border type pattern around the middle of the wall all the way around the room. Â Around her bunk bed area I made them come up along the top of the wall towards the ceiling line. Â Otherwise, they wouldnât be seen in the middle with the upper bunk bed getting in the way. Â They look so cute!
I decided to get some matching material and make the bed pillows to match the flowery wall decals. Â I am having my daughter help make the pillows on her new kids sewing machine that she got for Christmas last year. Â This is one of our first sewing projects together after stepping through some of the basics and the tutorial videos.
Wish us luck and I hope to post an update soon with a photo!
