Free Motion Embroidery Foot. I bought a free motion embroidery foot for my machine, in hopes it would be easier for quilting my baby quilt with the 3 different fabric layers; jersey, batting and quilting cotton. It was much better. Wondering if buying a walking foot would be a good idea? Baby Memory Quilt part 5. I have trimmed the quilt, cut the batting and cut the background fabric. I have also pinned through each square through all 3 layers to hold everything in place. Next step quilting it all together.
