So how did you first get into LARPing? And do you travel a lot for them?
Hey, anon! Get ready for a novel. When I was a weebabby (like 16 or 17), I started attending a weekly tabletop game at a localcomic book store. The people playing were all older than me but really invitingand friendly. I made friends with the lot and one of the girls asked me if I’dever LARPed before. Of course, I did the stereotypical “whhhaaaaa?” So, sheexplained it to me and my eyes lit up because I’d always wanted to get intosomething like that! So, after a few weeks of coaxing my very religious parents,I started off on my very first LARP adventure.
We went to something like aparlor LARP (no-combat, all roleplay) at a church in Southern Jersey. I was soincredibly nervous, I mostly kept to the kitchen and played a servant-like NPC character.Kept my head down and listened more than I actually played. When I *did* play,I made a bunch of mistakes and was really embarrassed but the group encouragedme and helped me navigate the rules and stuff.
Currently, I’m Wolfpack at agame called Seventh Kingdom IGE. Wolfpack is essentially junior staff so we runmods and are “Game Marshalls” or GMs. I’m also the Costuming Manager so it’s apretty sweet deal! I get to make monsters and do makeup for all sorts ofbaddies like this dude:
Because I’ve gotresponsibilities at 7k, I don’t really go to other games. Maybe in a few yearsbut right now, my focus is to help make Seventh Kingdom the best it can be. Itravel about an hour to get there but next year, we’ll be at a farther camp fora couple months so I’ll be driving about two hours to the camp. As long as I’vegot a travel buddy, I don’t mind the drive at all. Thanks for your questions! :)

Listened in to a super secret bad guy meeting. Was entranced by vampiric charms. Tried my hand at seducing a (frankly insane) Blood Lord. Betrayed and assassinated a friend. Rounded up townspeople to stop a man who had dangerous information about my tribe. Trick or treated with cursed costumes. Impressed an Aethyric Aspect of Love and Beauty. Managed a tea shop. Messed with a shadow priest as part of his baptism ritual. Stole from Blood Reavers. Navigated a lightning maze. Fought off vampires while wearing a bathrobe. Drew off a flying angry Blood Lord into the woods and away from town at risk of life and limb. What'd you guys do today?
