@seventhbornāĀ /Ā ā® = waking them up after a nightmare .
Uma hadnāt meant to fall asleep, but she had exhausted herself, trying endlessly to swim around the Isle and see if there was even a slitherĀ of an opening in the barrier. It had rebounded her so many times for her to swim back and try again until she gave in and collapsed on a sandy shore. It was normally quiet and secluded, butĀ she wasnāt from here nor was she familiar with the locations of Auradon. Wherever she was, she must have felt safe enough to drop to sleep, even for just a moment.Ā That was when the nightmares slipped in. The loneliness of not having her crew, or even Ursula around her was definitely getting to her, but the failure to take down Mal sat heavy in her chest.Ā A booming voice of her mother telling her that sheād failed, how much of a disappointmentĀ her own daughter was.Ā
Umaās briefly thankful that sheās pulled from the nightmare with a gasping start. Sitting up to realise dawn was on the horizon and there was someone near to her. She reaches for a sword on her side; something rusty and old, but it was all she could find on the bottom of the sea floor. When her eyes adjust, thereās red hair, and a face so soft and gentle she has to gulpĀ in sudden fear. Uma had never seenĀ Ariel, nor her Uncle Triton... but her motherās stories were firm in her being, so she knew instantlyĀ who the older woman was that was near her.Ā ā Stay away from me,Ā ā She warns, pulling free the sword, scooting backward on the sand slightly. Still aching and exhausted from the past few days antics she isnāt certain she couldĀ swing the sword at Ariel, but the other woman didnāt need to know that.
